I want to be able to make descent HP out of it, so I have a few questions: - What kind of transmission could i use ( i already have the hydraulic pedal cluster and the appropriate linkage installed
I do not necessarily plan on doing all of these, but these are mods that have been discussed for the 1.6L IDI that I may consider. Turbo: Early TDI turbo. Intercooler. Install squirters. Fuel Pump: Governor mainspring mod (shimmed) Fuel pin mod (trimmed) Smoke screw adjustment.
The Polo Mk2 was used extensively by Volkswagen to develop future innovations, for example supercharging with a 40-mm G-Lader supercharger in the GT G40 version. A 60-mm G-Lader would later be used on the larger and more technically challenging G60 engine used in the Golf and Corrado.
Volkswagen Golf GTI Mk2: on the road. A well-kept 8V will do 200,000-plus miles before it needs major work, a 16V 150,000-plus. Expect lively performance and sharp, safe handling: if it delivers less, negotiate the price. The trick is to secure one with only minor faults that are easily rectified.s2yzqH.
