Fuel filter for a start. Than check there's no air leaks into the fuel pipes. Since car are due for the cambelt and possible wet belt change how about looking at these as well. If fuel pump is bad symptoms would be no engine power uphill, cutouts while driving, whistling sound from the pump side. Quote.
